The Santa Clara County Committee on School District Organization has a vacancy in Supervisorial District 3. The Committee is responsible for the reorganization of school districts through territory transfers and unification, and the establishment and rearrangement of governing board trustee areas in school districts. It formulates plans, responds to petitions, conducts public hearings, develops and releases information, and analyzes proposals. Anyone interested in serving on the Committee must be a registered voter and reside within Supervisorial District 3. This includes all or parts of the following school districts: Alum Rock Union Elementary, Berryessa Union, Cupertino Union, Evergreen, Milpitas Unified, Mount Pleasant, Mountain View Whisman, Oak Grove, Orchard, San Jose Unified, Santa Clara Unified, and Sunnyvale. Applicants should submit a letter that includes interests and qualifications for the position, as well as a minimum of three references and a resume.
